Council on Aging Silicon Valley

Council on Aging Silicon Valley provides expertise, education, and quality support services to Santa Clara County seniors, families, and their caregivers. Council on Aging Silicon Valley’s mission is to provide the aging community and their caregivers the tools and services they need to age well at home. Through a comprehensive network of resources, the Council on Aging Silicon Valley strives to educate, prepare, support and advocate for seniors, their families, and their caregivers throughout Santa Clara County.

Foster City Village

The Foster City Village is a non-profit California corporation established and managed by members devoted to maintaining and improving an independent quality of life sought by a majority of local seniors.

San Francisco County Senior Centers and Programs

San Francisco offers a wealth of activities for seniors at locations throughout the City. At these centers, seniors can learn tai chi, painting, quilting, computer literacy, and computer access, or sign up for exercise programs, social events, day trips, English as a second language classes, and so much more. Services are free or low-cost. Many centers offer low-cost meal programs and social services referrals on-site as well. Best of all, the centers are a great way to make friends, have fun and stay connected with the community.

San Mateo County Fall Prevention Task Force

The mission of the San Mateo Fall Prevention Task Force is to decrease falls among community dwelling older adults through advocacy, resource development and education.

San Mateo County Network of Care

Network of Care was created with a California Department of Aging innovation grant. The project is part of a broad effort by our county to improve and better coordinate long-term care services locally. This comprehensive, Internet-based resource is for the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as their caregivers and service providers.

Senior Center Without Walls

Senior Center Without Walls offers activities, friendly conversation, and an assortment of classes and support groups to homebound elders and others who find it difficult to go to a community senior center. Participants call from the comfort of home through telephone conference calls. No special equipment is needed and the calls are completely free.
